I wish I had a great excuse for my absence here on the blog, but it’s as simple as LIFE. Fall was absolutely crazy- a ton of weddings, engagements, families, and oh yeah- I got married, too! Planning a wedding during the craziest wedding season I’ve had was insane!

Hey friends. It’s time to get real around here. Want to know why my blog has been extra quiet lately? I have been completely and totally overwhelmed. I’m sure you’ve been there too, right? I’m going to be a bit vulnerable and put it all out there today!

It’s Monday! No… wait, it’s Tuesday. But it feels like Monday. I’m confused. My brain doesn’t know what day it is at all! I was convinced yesterday was Sunday, but that would have meant that I had two Sundays, a Saturday, and a Friday this weekend. I have no idea what’s going on. Where am I? What day is it? Who are you? I kid, I kid! Because yesterday was Labor Day, I tried not to work too hard so I held off my Monday blogging until today!

Monday has come around again! And oh, what a Monday it will be! I woke up this morning feeling recharged after a really exhausting weekend and ready to take on the world! As I sat down with my morning coffee I started thinking about everything I wanted to accomplish this week.

The Monday Mix-Up was born after months of me wanting to share little snippets about the goings-on around here! You’ll find silly anecdotes, random facts, and get to learn more about the girl behind the camera and my family! And if you’re lucky- a sneak peek at what I’ve been shooting lately!

Unless you’ve been living on a remote island with no contact to the outside world, you’ve heard about Winter Storm Jonas. While we didn’t go out with a ruler and measure every few hours, I can tell you that we got over 30 inches in just over 24 hours. It’s now Monday night and the roads still aren’t clear! That amount of snow all at once is just massive!
