I approach portrait sessions in a much more relaxed way. 

It was in some generic portrait studio where my brothers wore suits and I wore this plaid jumper and turtleneck (that was extremely reminiscent of my private school uniform.) We were all floating around that awkward pre-teen stage, staring stiffly into the camera with that deer-in-the-headlights look, braces on our teeth, and let's just say- it was no one's shining moment. That picture sat in a gold frame on top of our piano for years! There are still wallet-sized copies of this one photo floating around.  

We'll pick a location- a favorite park, waterfront, or even your backyard or living room. We talk about outfit choices, expectations and go over any questions you may have. And don't forget your dog! I firmly believe that Fido is as much of a member of the family as anyone else! I’ll shoot a combination of posed portraits and relaxed, candid moments. We'll be laughing and having fun the entire time! Parents- don't stress over perfectly behaved children; I say, let kids be kids! I aim for that perfect family portrait and then tell the little ones to let loose! There's no better way to capture their personalities.
