It isn’t every day that I get to share a photo shoot of a surprise proposal! Casey and Sarah worked with me to capture their perfect proposal and I was so honored to be a part of their special moment!

Casey came up with a brilliant story for exactly why he and Sarah were getting professional photos taken that day. Sarah had let on that she didn’t want staged proposal photos and wanted the moment authentically captured however it ended up happening. He told Sarah that he had won a couple’s photo shoot through work. Of course, Sarah had the tiniest inkling that something more was in the works, but she was still surprised when Casey got on one knee and proposed!

These two lovebirds became an item a few years after college. They were acquaintances through mutual friends in college, but they finally connected again at an alumni event. After just a few months of dating, they knew that they were meant for each other. Casey asked Sarah out on a date to a lovely restaurant and, after dressing up and having a nice meal, Casey took Sarah by the hand and asked her to go steady with him! What a sweet relationship milestone!

Now, Casey and Nate are parents to two fur babies (a black lab named Rosco and a cat named Perky) and are getting married at the Antrim 1844 in just a few short weeks! They love binge watching true crime shows, cracking dad jokes, and DIY’ing projects from woodworking to organization hacks.
