There is so much to say about Andy and Becca! Let’s get the obvious out the of way- they’re a seriously photogenic couple! Becca is petite with the most amazing beachy blonde waves and Andy is preppy and has his own set of golden locks. I met them in high school and any memory I have of them includes them as a couple. It was only a matter of time until they got married and I’d say it was well worth the wait! 

I met Katelynne and Jacob at Piney Run Park in Carroll County for their engagement session last fall. We were blessed by mother nature and had the most beautiful weather and stunning sunset for their session! I was thrilled when Katelynne called me what seems like years ago to book her wedding. She was so sweet and easy to talk to- I felt like I made an instant friend with her. 

Last fall Katelyn and Jimmy tied the knot at Rockfield Manor! I wish I could hop in a time machine and go back to their wedding day. Jimmy and Katelyn definitely knew how to throw a good party! Their awesome playlist made everyone hit the dance floor. I loved seeing all their friends and family bust their dance moves. Wedding receptions always make the best stories 😉

Earlier this spring I had the pleasure of meeting Caroline and Travis at Cylburn Arboretum in Baltimore for their engagement session. The sun was shinning bright and the gardens were DREAMY! Being surrounded by beautiful trees, luscious grass, and gorgeous flowering bushes was SO romantic. Clyburn Arboretum has become one of my favorite photography spots because of the gorgeous setting and tons of different areas to shoot in.

Calling all brides!! Do you need help making your timeline for your wedding day? Are you feeling totally lost?  I’m sharing a few tips to help you create your timeline with ease. It’s SUPER important to set a realistic timeline for your wedding day. It can seem overwhelming trying to organize a schedule but it’s fairly simple if you take a few minutes to think through everything. You might need revision here or there, but once you get through the first draft the rest comes easily! Check out these tips- I promise it’ll make your life a little easier! 

Annapolis you are my FAVORITE! I was ecstatic when Will and Theresa told me they wanted to do their engagement session in Annapolis! As I’ve said before, there’s just something romantic and dreamy about getting photographed by the water. Trust me, romance was in the air during Will and Theresa’s session. You can totally see how much they love each other by how much they laugh together. They were constantly giggling and smiling the whole time!

Second shooting is a great way to dip your toes into wedding photography and it’s how a lot of wedding photographer get their start. It gives you the opportunity to see everything it takes to shoot a wedding.  If you’re a photographer trying to get your foot in the door, second shooting is the perfect way to gain some understanding. I’ve been in the photography business for about 4 years now and I STILL love second shooting. No matter how much experience you have, you can still benefit from second shooting. I’ve also made some lifelong friends through second shooting. So today I’m sharing with you 3 reasons why I personally love second shooting!

Facebook Timehop, what a wonder you are! This morning you reminded me that exactly one year ago today Chris and I were running on about three hours of sleep and #allthecoffee! 

Maybe I should rewind a little bit. As soon as Chris and I got engaged, we knew that no matter what Amy and Jordan would be shooting our wedding.

You might have noticed I have been doing a lot more sessions in Annapolis. I think that everyone looks better in Annapolis!! I love the boat docks, the ducks greeting everyone, and the nautical vibe. There’s just something so romantic about taking photos by the water. I was SO excited when Lindsey and Daniel told me they wanted to do their engagement session in Annapolis!

Trying to get back into the swing of things after a week of spring break has been tough! Anyone else struggling along with me? I’ve got to get back on track! Got any motivational tips for me?
