What better way to celebrate the coming of May and sunny, warm weather than shooting a wonderfully rustic wedding at a local vineyard? Just a few weeks ago, I took a trip to Dejon Vineyards in Hydes, Maryland, to capture Meghan and Larry’s beautiful wedding. The outdoor ceremony was gorgeous and the reception space had the perfect blend of rustic charm and elegance!
After meeting through mutual friends, Meghan and Larry quickly realized that they’d found each other’s person. After only a few short weeks of dating, they couldn’t imagine life without the other and wanted to spend every second they could with each other (cue the tears!). Nearly five years later, they’ve built a beautiful life with their children and were so excited to be tying the knot!
Larry proposed to Meghan on the beach in Bethany over Easter vacation. Meghan was shocked that her family had arranged a day of plans so that Larry could propose in the most perfect way.
Meghan’s color scheme with soft violet colors was perfect for an early spring wedding and paired well with her blush wedding dress. The ivory flowers were a great touch!
I absolutely love the small details that Meghan and Larry incorporated into their wedding day, down to the touching tributes to those who couldn’t be there in person, to their emotional first look before the ceremony. Meghan’s father passed away, so she had a heart made from one of his shirts sewn into her dress to make him a part of her wedding day. And, her bouquet was wrapped at the stems with periwinkle ribbon to symbolize the type of cancer that her father experienced. Every detail had meaning which made the day that much more special.
