Recently, I met med school sweethearts Jenn and David at Cylburn Arboretum for some gorgeous engagement photos amongst the blooming trees and flowers. They just tied the knot a few weeks ago at Old Otterbein Church with their reception at the Rusty Scupper, and let me tell you – that was quite the celebration! I am in love with Cylburn Arboretum for engagement sessions simply because there are so many great locations to explore and capture beautiful images. These two love bugs were so fun to work with capturing their gorgeous engagement session!
Jenn and David have been together for going on seven years, after meeting during med school in Baltimore. So many milestones for them happened in Baltimore, from dancing at Bond Street Social during an orientation event to their first date casually strolling along Fells Point and grabbing drinks at Max’s Taphouse. As they’re relationship grew, they discovered a love for hiking and spending time lounging on the beach. When I’d asked them at what point they realized the other was “the one,” their response was so touching – they realized that, in most situations, they were better as a team than separate. Isn’t that what love is all about when you get down to it?
The engagement story that Jenn and David shared with me is one of my favorites that I’ve heard! The couple was engaged while on vacation in Italy. They were hiking the trail that runs the five coastal towns of Cinque Terre, and David suggested they take a break on a rocky clearance overlooking the Mediterranean. With the sun shining on the blue sea, David got one on one knee and proposed! Can you even dream up a better engagement story??
Stay tuned for some gorgeous photos of Jenn and David’s wedding! I cannot wait to share their gorgeous ceremony and reception.
