The #AJ Workshop! – September 4, 2015

Oct 5, 2015

As I sit here on a plane heading back to Baltimore, I can hardly hold back the tears welling up in my eyes as I reflect on the past three days in Arizona. I took a big leap signing up for Amy and Jordan’s workshop. Not because I had doubts on what this experience would be like, but because I had doubts in myself.

As soon as the email arrived in my inbox, I knew I wanted to go! I have been following Amy and Jordan for years and ADORE them! I’ve read reviews from past attendees and the blog posts recapping the days. LIFE CHANGING STUFF happens at these workshops. I signed up and couldn’t have been more excited!

About two days later, the doubt flooded over me. Was I good enough to attend? Would I be a fish out of water? Would I even know what they were talking about? How will I keep up? I have seen the work of previous attendees- they are leaps and bounds ahead of me, or so I thought. I just wasn’t quite sure what I had gotten myself in to! I emailed Jordan on a holiday weekend and much to my surprise, he responded two hours later! He and Amy had taken the time to look over my website and sent me so much encouragement that this was the right time for me. I can’t say that I was shocked by the kind words in their email. If you know anything about them, you know that they have the biggest, most generous, loving, servant’s hearts out there. I just hadn’t experienced it first hand!

I’ll write more in depth about the workshop a little later on, but I will share this:

It was so much more than a photography workshop. It was like therapy(we cried ALL the tears), church (Demos 4:2), a slumber party with your BFF(my Cali roommate, Amanda!), and a big hug. The workshop was everything I wanted it to be and so much more. Amy and Jordan are selfless people. They truly believe in us. They want us to succeed. They changed my outlook on the business.

If you ever have the opportunity to go, you won’t regret it. Meeting Amy and Jordan was an absolute pleasure! I am fortunate to know them and am so excited to have them cheering me on!
