Monday Mix-Up | Spring, where are you? | Baltimore Photographer

Apr 9, 2018

Waking up on April the 9th and the meteorologist is still talking about freezing temperatures. I just can’t take it anymore! It looks like we’ll hit 70 degrees by Thursday, though! Here’s what’s been going on in my part of the world!

Easter! We spent Easter with our families and it was so nice! We hopped out of bed to find that the Easter bunny left some goodies for the kids- new books, some plants, and some art supplies for Brody. E.B. knew that Dylan would need a cute hat to protect her from the summer sun, bath toys, and a couple new books, too. Afterwards we brunched, hunted for eggs, and then had dinner with Chris’ side of the family. Somehow we managed to accumulate more candy then we did on Halloween!

Gardening! I’ve been chomping at the bit to get my seeds planted for our vegetable garden. I’m really hoping that today is the day it finally happens. My whole family is planning on starting veggie gardens this year, so we’ll sort of have our own family CSA! We want to be intentional about what each of hour families plants so that we can trade!

Photo sessions! Last night I had the absolute pleasure of shooting Macy and Dave’s maternity portraits. As you may know, Macy is the owner of Enchanting Events and Design and she and I have collaborated on so many different things, but this has to be the best one! It. Was. Cold. It took me a good two hours to fully defrost, but you can’t tell by their photos!

Wedding season! It kicks off on the 21st in Georgetown, and I’m ready for it! I posted on insta-stories about taking my gear to get cleaned and calibrated at Service Photo and I am so pleased! They offer same day and next day calibrations- so you won’t be without your babies for long! I also picked up a new macro lens while I was there. I’m adding a few things to my styling kit this year, too!
