I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Andrew & Kara’s wedding on Memorial Day weekend. The weather was beautiful- the sun was shining, there was a great breeze, and not the slightest chance for rain! I did bring along my adorable cute umbrella on the off chance that it started to rain. I bring that umbrella to every wedding and photo shoot I schedule and it just won’t rain! One day I will finally get to use it….
Their wedding ceremony was touching. Family members did readings, Moms participated in the sand ceremony, and Andrew’s father’s photo was a part of his boutineer. The reception was a blast! In addition to the great dinner and dancing, Kara and Andrew had a photo booth and a smores bar! It smelled like heaven!
Right before the sunset, we snuck out to do some bride and groom portraits. If you’re a bride, I strongly recommend taking the time to do this! Not only does it increase your portrait count, but couples love being able to take a break from all the festivities to reflect on this momentous day.
The dancing continued all night long and the evening ended with a sparkler send-off! Sparklers are a huge trend in weddings these days and they’re so much fun! Everyone always has a smile on their face!
Enjoy these photographs from Andrew and Kara’s wedding day!
