Fun Ideas for Engagement Sessions | Maryland Engagement Photographer

The key to a great engagement photo session is thinking outside of the box and having fun! Engagement sessions are all about celebrating the love between the two people who are soon-to-be married, so choosing a theme that allows you both to be yourselves and have fun is so important!

I always have so much fun shooting engagement sessions and I want to share with you some of my favorites!

Morgan & Ryan’s Smoke Bomb Engagement Session – This shoot was so much fun and definitely SO outside of the box! They started out with some nice “normal” engagement photos in a button down (him) and dress (her)… then they put on their white t-shirts and got messy with colorful smoke bombs! It made for such a fun, unique session to celebrate their love and upcoming marriage!

Diana & Joel’s Engagement Session in Hampden – First thing’s first… dogs make every photoshoot better. This one took place along The Avenue in Hampden, which provided so many fun backdrops! We got to take photos of Diana and Joel in front of all the places they love to hang out and we even ended the session by enjoying the amazing Quality Snowballs, which photographed so well! P.S. Diana is enjoying my all time favorite flavor… watermelon, basil, and lime!

Emily and Joe’s Engagement Session at Glen Echo Park – Another engagement session with a cute pup… are you picking up on my favorite theme?! This photoshoot took place at Glen Echo Park and we were eating up all of the adorable vintage vibes here! We were lucky to pretty much have the whole place to ourselves, so the photos came out amazing – I love all the red, light blue, and green sprinkled in throughout!
