Julie and Isabella’s Mother Daughter Portraits

To celebrate Julie’s daughter Isabella’s fifth birthday, Julie decided to have mother daughter portraits made for the two of them! We had a bit of a challenge searching for locations in Hunt Valley to shoot the perfect portraits. The park we started the shoot in was closing for the night, so we had to improvise and find a new location! We ended up pulling off to a field on the side of the road and I asked them to just trust me. Sometimes, the best results come from surprising setbacks. We captured a stunning sunset in a beautiful location with a ton of greenery and different backdrops. I had so much fun that it has to be one of my favorite portrait sessions that I’ve done in quite some time!

Isabella is the sweetest little girl. She and Julie’s matching leggings for their session were the cutest wardrobe choice! Their little booties and uggs made me wish that sweater weather was officially here. She and her mom love cheerleading and gymnastics, so she loved getting glammed up for this shoot too! She was all about getting her hair done for the portraits. Those little curls are so sweet!

I’ve known Julie for almost my whole life. I met her when I was about ten while we were attending the same private school and carpooled to school together. One of my memories of her was on an average day after school when we ate popcorn as an after school snack. I definitely have her to thank for my obsession, to this day, with putting Old Bay on my popcorn!

Happy, Happy Birthday again to Isabella! She was a natural in front of the camera. I’m so glad we found an amazing location and were able to take advantage of the perfect sunset for Julie and Isabella’s mother daughter portraits.
