Fall wedding season is in full swing! And so is my pregnancy... Let's catch up on what's been going on around here, shall we? Hint- it involves Ninja Warrior training.
To celebrate Julie's daughter Isabella's fifth birthday, Julie decided to have mother daughter portraits made for the two of them! We had a bit of a challenge searching for locations in Hunt Valley to shoot the perfect portraits.
Valerie, Mike and I took a trip to Cloister's Castle for their fall engagement session! I had such a fun time shooting their engagement photos in such a unique setting and loved that they wanted something different for their location. We had a blast and Mike and Val were such great sports. They were up for anything! I can’t wait for their fall wedding coming up this October.
Today I'm sharing some things I've learned from my pregnancies that may help you out! I'm no expert, and this certainly isn't medical advice, but it might help out another mama in this stage of life! Plus, a few shots that I was so fortunate to get from Rosie Omar Photography!
Tracy and Noah are easily one of the most loving and faith-filled couples I've had the pleasure of working with. There has never been a couple more in love than these two! If there were ever two people who were ever "meant to be," it would be Noah and Tracy.
I love boudoir sessions - they give me the chance to help my clients feel beautiful and confident, and stretch my creative muscles to style the perfect shot! Recently, I was able to work with one of my oldest friends, Cait, to shoot a 1950's-inspired pin-up boudoir session, and the finished product is fierce!
I shot Kim and Nick's engagement session at Oregon Ridge on the most delightful fall afternoon. It was one of those crisp fall days that you wish could happen every day. They decided to bring along their fur-baby Tucker for the session, which added a whole other layer of fun! If the shots of Tucker's cute little face below don't make your heart melt, I don't know what will!
In celebration of my 29th birthday today, I'm sharing 29 lessons I have learned in my 29 years on this earth. Click over and read! Happy Monday!
I'm absolutely in love with the stunning details of Jessica and Jesse's wedding! The two were married this spring at Our Lady of the Chesapeake and Anchor Inn in Pasadena, Maryland. Jessica's color palette was purple and ivory with gold and silver accents, which popped perfectly against the green and blue backdrop of Pasadena’s shorefront. I think Jessica’s floral hair piece deserves its own shout-out; it was absolutely gorgeous and incorporated the purple hue into her own look!
It warms my heart to write this post! I've known Michael forever and was thrilled to celebrate he and Auburn's first home - and a surprise engagement!
Lindsay and Lance celebrated their wedding at Nonantum Farm in Landenberg, PA in May. This charismatic couple truly have an incredible bond - their 'in-between' moments were just as, if not more, sweet and romantic than their actual portraits! They're a perfect match for each other, and that showed throughout their wedding.
Last fall on a brisk November day, Leslie, Dan, and I met at St. Mary's College of Maryland to shoot their engagement session. I have to say, St. Mary's College and Historic St. Mary's City have so many picturesque areas that I would happily drive another half a day to shoot more sessions there! We were able to take photos on a dock at a secluded beach AND frolic through fields all in the same session. Great day, if you ask me!
Happy Monday, everyone! It's been a while since I've done a Monday Mix-Up post, hasn't it? Honestly, I wasn't sure that people read it but I received a lot of feedback asking where these posts went! So thanks for actually reading these posts! ;)
Oh my...Caitlyn and Sean's 1840s Ballroom wedding couldn't have been more packed with stunning details that truly transported guests to the roaring 20s. From the cigar box floral decorations to the venue's nostalgic ambiance, this wedding was styled perfectly and definitely captured the magic of the 20s!
When my husband Chris and I first started planning our wedding, there were a lot of not-so-traditional ideas we wanted to incorporate into our wedding, from what everyone was wearing to the James Bond nod we kept for the reception. There were a lot of details about my wedding that I wanted to keep very untraditional and totally different than what I've seen before, so I threw the rulebook out of the window and ignored some wedding traditions to make my wedding more me.
When Angie reached out to me to shoot her engagement session with her fiance, Russ, I was instantly so excited to start working with them. Angie was my son Brody's kindergarten teacher, so I knew that she and I would have a great connection from the start. I'm beyond excited for Angie and Russ' wedding coming up in November!
When you sit down to write out your wedding to-do checklist, what's the first big to-do that pops into your head? Finding a wedding venue! If you're like most brides, starting the search for the perfect setting for your big day is pretty intimidating. Narrow down the front runners by asking yourself these questions while you sort through the seemingly countless options!
Stephanie and Jon tied the knot on a rainy April day at Lakeview Farms in Dover, Pennsylvania. Although the weather wasn't ideal, Stephanie and Jon's good spirits made the skies clear for a gorgeous golden hour for their portraits!
Going into business for myself was scary. I mean, really scary. Each decision feels like a make it or break it moment and, in my mind, one misstep could cause ten more potential problems. Of course, risks are just part of doing what you love, and without them there wouldn't be that "YES!" moment when you feel all of your hard work paying off. So, I thought I'd share with you some of those decisions that turned out to be turning points for my business, and helped me enjoy being my own boss!
Macy and Dave celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary in June, and I met with them to capture their anniversary photos at Hampton Mansion in Towson, MD! We spent a gorgeous summer day roaming the historic mansion and grounds, which turned out to be the perfect backdrop for Macy and Dave's session!
This adorable couple and I had an instant connection, which may have had something to do with our mutual obsession with Gilmore Girls!
