Emily and Matt's Art Museum Wedding in Baltimore
Emily and Matt's wedding at the Baltimore Museum of Art was sophisticated and classic, from Emily's stunning Sareh Nouri gown to the ornate stone steps of their venue. Their wedding was the perfect black tie affair, complete with a band and even a live painter painting the reception throughout the night! Having a live painter paint during the reception was such a unique way of capturing the night and paired perfectly with the art museum venue.
The Baltimore Museum of Art was founded in 1914 and, in addition to the main building, has two gorgeous landscaped sculpture gardens. I had so much fun shooting a wedding at an art museum - there were so many beautiful locations to shoot!
Emily and Matt are the most adorable couple. I grew up just a few houses away from Emily so it was an extra special experience to help her photograph her wedding. Matt proposed by asking Emily if she would take a lifetime journey with him. How cute is that??
Out of all of their gorgeous wedding details, the bridal party’s attire and the simple bouquets were by far my favorite elements. I loved the modern choice of Matt wearing a Navy tux with black contrast lapels next to his groomsmen in black. Emily’s simple and chic satin gown with a dramatic bow in the back was a showstopper and popped next to her bridesmaid’s deep burgundy dresses. Emily’s simple yet dramatic cathedral veil made the perfect finishing touch to her bridal look!
Emily and Matt’s wedding was an amazing night and the perfect beginning to their lifetime journey.
