Travis is such a big part of my life (pun intended) that I thought I really ought to share a little more about him! Travis came to us almost four years ago in December. I have ALWAYS been a dog person and have had dogs literally my entire life. I’ve had english bulldogs, labs, and mutts, but Travis is my first mastiff! And let me tell you, I am completely infatuated with him! 

Just in time for Halloween, it’s finally starting to feel like fall in Maryland! I’ve been incredibly busy with doubleheader wedding weekends, attending the AKP retreat in Baltimore, and preparing for the newest member of our little family, but I’m so excited for spending my in-between moments indulging in all things fall – I’m talking pumpkin spice, hot apple ciders, snuggling by the fireplace…enjoying the sweater weather season while I can.

Casey and Nate tied the knot at one of my new favorite venues in Lancaster, the Cork Factory Hotel! Lancaster is quickly becoming a popular area for brides looking for rustic wedding venues. This place had everything – exposed brick, aged wood, and a completely open space with vaulted ceilings for their beautiful ceremony and reception. The little details of the wedding were perfect for the space, from the hanging flowers and chandeliers to the ornate, oversized Edison light bulbs incorporated into the decor. Everywhere you looked, Casey and Nate’s wedding was gorgeous! 

Mike and Ashley were the lucky winners of the Be More Inspired Wedding Studio Ultimate Wedding Giveaway last January and were married at the SwingTime Ballroom in Hydes, Maryland! From the bride’s gorgeous lace dress with custom sleeves to the Walking Dead cake, Mike and Ashley’s wedding was a blast!

I admire the ambition you both have towards following your dreams. An idea will pop into your heads and if it feels right, you make the next move. Whatever obstacles are in your way, you always overcome them with grace. I think everyone can learn from your positivity and determination. That houseboat that didn’t float, that farm that you waited and waited for, and those silos that didn’t look like much from the outside, but you had vision and now it’s more than you ever could have imagined. You’ve created a brand, a lifestyle, and you’ve set an example that if you put your mind to it and stay true to yourselves, you can accomplish anything you dream up.

The sprawling hills of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania were the perfect backdrop for Katelynne and Jacob’s wedding day! Between taking the fun and goofy shots of the bridal party to capturing the beautiful details of Katelynne’s dress and flowers, it was a super fun day and I couldn’t be happier for Katelynne and Jacob!

I don’t think it could get any cuter than this shoot for sisters Brooke and Morgan and their dogs Scarlet, Gus and Milo! I’ve known Brooke and Morgan for years while their dad and I were volunteer firefighters together. Brooke and I also both wore the Ms. Fire Prevention crown! I even owe the adoption of our dog, Travis, to Brooke. Brooke is a Virginia Tech grad who works in the agricultural field and Morgan is a women’s soccer coach at Loyola. I was over the moon when they reached out to take some photos with their adorable pups! 

Fells Point in Baltimore is such a dynamic and exciting place to shoot engagement sessions. There are cobblestone and worn brick, a picturesque waterfront, and iconic landmarks like the Knoll Lighthouse. Jess, Mike and I took advantage of a gorgeous sunny spring day and explored Fells Point to find the perfect shots for their engagement session! As we were shooting, passers-by cheered them on and talked about how adorable they and their happy and energetic golden retriever pup Bailey were. The three of them looked like a perfect little family!

Fall wedding season is in full swing! And so is my pregnancy… Let’s catch up on what’s been going on around here, shall we? Hint- it involves Ninja Warrior training.
