Family Portraits | The Sheridans

Apr 22, 2020

Since we are spending so much time with our families right now I thought it would be a great time to share my family’s Fall portraits from last year. Family portraits are extremely important because kids grow up so fast! Yes, you can capture a lot on your iPhone but it’s not really ideal for all memories to be crowded family selfies. So let’s get family portraits session on the calendar for when quarantine is over, I’m sure you realized how fast your kids grow even over the past few weeks!

Last Fall I had my dear friend Kait Bailey photograph my family at Hampton Mansion. I saved her the trouble and edited all the photos too! Since my kiddos have short attention spans like most kids we blew through our twenty-minute session. However, we ended up with way more photos than expected! You would be surprised by the number of photographable moments during a session where your kids are on the verge of a meltdown. I love swapping sessions with her and how we will get to see each other’s families grow! Check out some of my favorites below!

Family session tip! Try not to “match” your family for a session. Instead, keep a color scheme or family in mind. My dress is from Francesca’s and the rest of the family’s gear s from Old Navy and Target!
