Maryland Family Portraits with Nadjay, Matthew and Adeline

Just after the holidays, Nadjay and Matthew contacted me for an in-home family portrait session for them and their little, Baby Adeline! There’s such a joyful atmosphere for family portrait sessions that I can’t get enough of, especially when they happen at home! In-home sessions are sweet, comfortable and snuggly; plus, it never hurts to have an absolutely gorgeous home like Nadjay and Matthew’s!

As soon as I walked into Nadjay and Matthew’s home, I felt as if I walked into an HGTV reveal! Their home is stunningly rustic farmhouse chic, complete with barn doors and an amazing kitchen with the most perfect natural light. I am in love with their countertops! Their house has such a warm and inviting atmosphere, which was perfect for the photos we were taking during their session.
Not only were we able to capture some drop-dead adorable photos of Adeline (who, let’s be honest, is the star of the show), but Matthew and Nadjay were able to sneak away for a few snaps of just the two of them. They have such a special relationship! We were also able to get some photos of Adeline in a few different cute outfits! My personal fave – Adeline’s cute little pink tutu with flowers paired with a cute little sweater and grey bow. Her outfit coordination was so on point!
What I love about taking in-home family photos more than anything is the sense of my clients being in their place and feeling the most themselves (just take one look at Kait and Joe’s in-home portrait session). The comfort of being in your own home definitely shows through in your photos and creates such an authentic snapshot of your life and your family. Nadjay and Matthew are wonderful people and it’s been a pleasure working with them to capture their beautiful little family!
