You guys, I am SO excited to share the wedding of Liz and Mike, two amazing individuals that I loved working with during their wedding planning journey! They scheduled their wedding for the end of March at Gramercy Mansion in Baltimore, and there was just enough greenery to set off their beautiful dusty blue wedding details!
There are so many fun facts about Liz and Mike, I don’t know where to start! After connecting the 21st century way on OkCupid, they first met at the Connecticut Street entrance to the Washington National Zoo. They spent hours there learning about each other, from their mutual love for video games to their love for animals. It’s no secret that I love dogs, so this fact really hit home for me – on the couple’s second date, Mike insisted on meeting Liz’s dog, Sydney. That’s when she knew he was the one! Two-and-a-half years later, Mike and Liz found themselves right back at the National Zoo for Mike’s proposal! They went during the zoo’s annual ZooLights event in December. Liz was shocked but it was the perfect place to make their next step.
I absolutely love how they incorporated little bits of their story and interests into their wedding design. Small details like the cake topper that shows both of them with little headsets and laptops, and their guestbook which they turned into a board game! That is one of the cutest and most original ideas for a guestbook that I’ve seen! Plus, I was so happy that they decided to include their pup Sydney into their bride and groom portraits – those photos are always so fun to shoot and such a special moment!
Congratulations, Liz and Mike!

Bonus shot…yes, that’s me, chipping in to help the bridesmaids get ready and swooping in tide-pen ready! Wedding photographer means more than snapping photos, it means helping the bride wherever I can to make her wedding day picture perfect!
