Just in time for Halloween, it’s finally starting to feel like fall in Maryland! I’ve been incredibly busy with doubleheader wedding weekends, attending the AKP retreat in Baltimore, and preparing for the newest member of our little family, but I’m so excited for spending my in-between moments indulging in all things fall – I’m talking pumpkin spice, hot apple ciders, snuggling by the fireplace…enjoying the sweater weather season while I can.
This time of year brings back memories of the many sweater weather engagement sessions that I’ve had with some of my amazing clients, and I thought I’d feature a session on the blog this week! Caitlyn and Shaun had an adorable fall engagement shoot at Cylburn Arboretum in the best snuggling weather! It was a brisk and sunny fall day and Caitlyn and Shaun came prepared with cozy plaid and knee-high boots with leg warmers. I loved Caitlyn’s outfits and how fall-tacular they were with her leather boots, infinity scarf, and cozy sweater.
We were lucky to have so many different settings to capture the sweet moments between Caitlyn and Shaun. All of the natural environments were perfect for fall, including the hayfield we explored, an old stone wall we discovered, and the stunning architecture of the arboretum. There were even vibrant areas of greenery that contrasted with the hayfield photos. I met Caitlyn in high school and have known her forever, so working with her and Shaun was a special experience! I also captured their wedding at the 1840s Ballroom. Check it out now!
After taking a peek at the session, can you see why fall engagement shoots are some of my favorite projects?? Snuggling weather, cozy outfits, and a gorgeous, earthy coloring come together to make beautiful engagement photos.
