Oh my…Caitlyn and Shaun’s 1840s Ballroom wedding couldn’t have been more packed with stunning details that truly transported guests to the roaring 20s. From the cigar box floral decorations to the venue’s nostalgic ambiance, this wedding was styled perfectly and definitely captured the magic of the 20s!
Caitlyn and Shaun’s wedding seemed like a mini-high school reunion. I met Caitlyn the first day of my freshman year of high school, and even went to high school with one of the bridesmaids too! It was such a great blast from the past.
I feel like I could stare at Caitlyn’s iconic Catherine Deane wedding gown all day. This dress had it all – lace, beading, a gorgeous flowing silk charmeuse skirt, and buttons along the back! The gown had a slightly gold tone, fit her like a glove, and, paired with her classic red lip and burgundy nails, made the perfect 1920s look. And, paired with Caitlyn’s beaded gray bridesmaids’ dresses, looked simply gorgeous. The red florals really popped against the pale colors! Caitlyn’s vision really came to life with these gowns, and I was so impressed that, even though the dresses were new, they kept an authentically vintage feel that fit the wedding perfectly.
One of my favorite details about this wedding were the themed table names. Charlie Chaplin? Ernest Hemingway? Sign me up! I also loved the first look Caitlyn shared with her father. It was such a special moment! And, after dancing the night away in the 1840s Ballroom, guests ended the night with a snack of mini chicken and waffle sliders with tater tots!
Caitlyn and Shaun, you are amazing. I loved working with you both and wish you well as you start this new chapter of your lives together!
