Mothers Day Gift Guide | Motherhood | Baltimore Photographer

May 3, 2018

Mothers Day is such a special holiday to me because I’ve got so many mothers in my life to celebrate! My mom, my mother-in-law, grandmothers, friend’s moms that may as well be my own… I could go on. It’s a day full of brunching, flowers, and warm spring weather. I can’t believe it’s coming around again- where has this year gone??

Flowers can be a great gift, so can handmade cards or a gift card to a spa but, because moms can be sometimes be tricky to shop for, I thought I would help everyone out. Here are some of my favorite things that I’m sure any mom would love! And even better, they’re all available on Amazon. Win!

First on the list, and my personal favorite, a mug warmer! I actually received TWO of these bad boys and I can’t live without them! One stays on my desk and the other in the living room. I’m always hearing about how mamas are reheating their coffee and this solves that problem. Bonus- it’s under $15!

It’s no secret that America LOVES Joanna Gaines. From her show on HGTV, to the magazine, to the book, she’s the epitome of #momgoals. And here she comes again with a gorgeous new cook book! Because I’m a super fan, I preordered mine and got it nearly two weeks ago! Get this for your mom and it’s almost a gift for yourself- you get to eat all the goodies!

Another must have for me is a good body scrub! I have a tendency to hoard bath products, specifically lotion because I never remember to use it…. but body scrubs are a favorite for me! I’ve been wanting to try this one!

Back to that coffee situation. The majority of the time in my house, we’re Peet’s Major Dickason’s drinkers, but when we need a major boost (and let’s face it, with two kids odds are pretty good we’ll need one sooner rather than later) we always keep some Death Wish Coffee on hand. We usually buy the whole bean version and grind it ourselves.

I don’t think you need to go crazy on the gifts for Mothers Day, but a little something is fun! What means most to me is a day where I don’t have to do any of the normal chores and someone cooks a nice dinner for me. Chris, if you’re reading this I’d like bacon wrapped scallops, please!! Keep it simple and sweet and don’t forget to hug your mom!
