Monday Mix-Up! Superbowl Edition | Baltimore Photographer

Feb 4, 2019

Just another manic Monday…. 😉 That song is stuck in my head and now it’s probably stuck in your head, too! How did you feel about the Superbowl last night? Such a polarizing event!

We hosted a few friends last night and ate like champions! Chris and I are mastering the art of ribs in the smoker and this was a pretty decent round! Our friends brought all kinds of snacks and dips and goodies to much on. In order of importance, I was most interested in the food, then the commercials, and then the actual football game. I probably watched a total of 10 minutes of football. Can we talk about the halftime show? What was that tank top, Adam?!

We’re gearing up for our road trip to Connecticut at the end of next week. If you’re on my newsletter list or have been following along on instagram, you’ll know that Brody has qualified for the National Ninja League World Finals! He started his ninja warrior journey less than two years ago and just started competing this fall. You can follow his instagram here! The competition will be live streaming and I’ll definitely be sharing the link.

Like so many others, I have a girl crush on Marie Kondo! I read her book a few years ago and loved it. When her Netflix show came out, I was all about it! With two kids and a dog, I feel like I am constantly decluttering. However, I took something else away from Marie Kondo- and no, it wasn’t “does this spark joy?” She asked her clients to decide if a certain item was something they wanted to carry with them into the future. DUDE. Such an incredible nugget of wisdom! That thought has helped me let go of things I was holding on to out of obligation, distant memory, and so much else. So the next time you’re sorting through piles of belongings, first ask if it sparks joy and then ask if you want to carry it with you into the future.

Wedding season kicks off this weekend! Saturday I get to shoot an intimate wedding at The Liriodendron Mansion and I absolutely love it there! It’ll be my first wedding since my reconstructive knee surgery and I’m ready to get back in the game!

I hope you all have a fantastic week! If you’re in Maryland, enjoy this freaky warm weather and consider it an apology from Mother Nature for the whole polar vortex crap. Get some fresh air, go for a walk, but don’t pull out the summer clothes just yet.

xo,
Anne
