Family Photos in Severn, MD With The Lahr Family And Newborn Cutie Ethan

Brr, is it summer yet? Personally, I am so ready to say bye Felicia to this polar vortex thing. It is most definitely still cozy-up-by-the-fire weather! While you’re making friends with your couch, take a peek through Ashley and Dustin’s family portraits with their new son, Ethan!

I shot Ashley and Dustin’s maternity photos at Henderson’s Wharf and it was so fun to be able to go out and shoot with them at that gorgeous location. So, naturally, I was more than excited to shoot Ethan’s portraits and their first official family photos at their home in Severn! The day we shot turned out to be sunny but chilly so we were able to mix a few quick outdoor photos into their session.

I was so honored to be able to shoot with Ashley and Dustin again, and meeting sweet little Ethan made the moment that much more special. They are such a sweet couple and now such sweet parents! Their faces just fill with joy when they snuggle with Ethan. And how could they not? That kiddo is adorable! He’s a happy little guy! I was also excited to peek into Ethan’s bedroom. I love seeing how everyone decorates for their little ones. Ethan’s room has an outer space vibe going on, and I am here for it! It’s a decor scheme that will grow with him through the years.

Ethan has the most beautiful eyes! He’s four months old and is so alert and interested in everything that goes on around him. You can definitely see that in some of the photos! It’s so amazin to watch little people experience the world for the first time. Ethan had never seen a camera like mine before, but he was definitely interested in it- and I’m glad that worked in my favor 😉 What a cutie pie!

We did have some photo-bombing during the shoot – a certain four legged sister that thought the session was all about her! It’s so hard for older siblings when the new baby moves in! Clearly she remembers the last photo session we did, where she got to be a little bit more the star of the show. Addi, don’t worry- everyone still loves ya, girl!

Congratulations Ashley and Dustin on your growing family! I can’t wait to see Ethan grow into a tiny little man!
