Happy Monday, everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve done a Monday Mix-Up post, hasn’t it? Honestly, I wasn’t sure that people read it but I received a lot of feedback asking where these posts went! So thanks for reading and make sure to leave a comment below. 🙂 

A quick catch up on the summer, since we haven’t talked in a while! In the middle of July, we had our nieces from Tennessee visit for an entire week. They’re the same age as Brody and they had a blast! We took them on factory tours, made their own ice cream flavors, hit the pool a bunch, and had an epic water battle in our back yard.

We’re expecting! Shortly before Christmas we’ll welcome a little baby girl! We did a little gender reveal and let #GeneralTravisMagoats tell the world. I’m still in disbelief! We snapped a few quick photos, but it was crazy hot that day, so excuse our outfits. 😉 

I spent this past weekend in Deep Creek Lake at the AKP Retreat hosted by my friend, Ashton Kelley Photography. It was a great mix of education, vacation, and a sweet 90s themed party. We stayed in a castle and my friends Chesapeake Charm Photography, Enchanting Events and Design, and Kait Bailey Photography came along. I made a bunch of new friends, too! It was sort of like a giant slumber party and a therapy session. It’s nice to be around so many like-minded people struggling with similar things. Being a photographer can be lonely! You spend so many hours stuck behind a computer and sometimes feel like no one around you ‘gets it’. Every so often I realize that I need to get out of my shell and be around other creatives.
