Monday Mix-Up! | Baltimore Wedding Photographer

Jan 23, 2017

Good morning on this dreary Monday! What is up with all of this gloomy weather, Maryland? I hope you all had a really great week! Here’s what went on for us over the past 7 days…

-There is something about January that makes you want to organize, right? Or is that just me? I have been steadily cleaning out closets, dressers, and our catch-all – the basement. I’ve been selling things in Facebook sap groups and my donation pile is growing bigger by the day! I also started The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, so that might have something to do with it! Side note- it’s free on Audible.com this month! Click the link above!

-There’s also something about January that makes you want to start working out again! Thanks New Year’s resolutions! My gym membership has been going to waste, sadly, so some friends and I have a standing date 3 mornings a week to hit the gym together. It’s a great way to see them (we’re all work at home photographer moms!) and there’s that whole accountability factor, which really helps!

-Speaking of motivation, I had a really fun call with Drew Kutcher of The Kutcher Method this week! We talked all things meal planning, motivation, and working out. Then we got side tracked talking about our adopted pups, entrepreneurship, and his awesome wife, Jenna! Jenna even stole the phone away for a second to say hi, which was like totally amazing because I am a #fangirlforlife! It was definitely an added bonus getting to ‘meet’ her, too!

-A few months ago, I stumbled across a post of someone looking for leftover Halloween pumpkins to donate to a potbellied pig rescue in Freeland. My ears perked up like a dog! A pig rescue?! If you’ve known me for a long time, you know that pigs have been my favorite animal for as long as I can remember. How did I not know there was a pig rescue a few minutes away form where I used to live?? I started following them on social media immediately! Well, on Saturday they hosted a delightfully silly event called Playing with the Pigs! That’s right, they invited people to come up to the farm and hang out! They’ve got about 53 potbellies that have been rescued for one reason or another. Brody and I drove up and had the best morning! We fed them, pet them, and rubbed their bellies. It was pretty much the best day ever and we can’t wait to go back! Take a minute to check out Whispering Rise Farm Animal Sanctuary and come with us the next time we go visit the piggies!

Have an awesome week!
